One of the most beautiful countries is also one of the most dangerous. Not only have decades of unsteady leadership followed centuries of foreign occupation, but its capital is the most vulnerable urban area to natural disasters on Earth. Conditions have become so challenging that the national government may leave. But most of the 25 million people living here will stay and carry on, as is their way. Fortunately, some major improvements are in the works. This is Manila, the island megacity.

How Big Is The Philippines Capital?
The capital of the Philippines, Metro Manila is big. Both in economic terms and population. But this sheer size also comes with a problem, but a solution is on the way, and we are seeing it happen in our lives today.

MANILA has really SURPRISED US | Exploring PHILIPPINES Capital City 🇵🇭 Didn't expect THIS!
Manila has really surprised us. Thats a fact. It has only been a couple of days since we arrived to Philippines but we are still shocked and surprised by what Manila and the Philippines has to offer. In this video we visit some of Manila's top attractions. We were surprised to hear one of the largest Malls in Asia is actually in Manila as we visit The Mall Of Asia. We also explore Intramuros, Manila's old Spanish city. We didn't expect this in Manila. In fact, we felt like we were in Europe, not Philippines. It was such a contrast to Modern Manila and the Mall of Asia. Seeing both sides of Manila really surprised us. We still have a few more days left in Manila so we are sure we will be Surprised by what this city has to offer.

This place was once the CAPITAL of the PHILIPPINES
The Price mansion, was the residence of Walter Scott Price, his wife Simeona Kalingag, and their children in Tacloban City, Leyte. It also served as the headquarters and residence of General Douglas MacArthur during The Liberation in 1944 and once the Provisional Capitol of the Philippines. The Price Mansion is an example of American colonial homes popularly built in the 1910s.
Constructed in 1910 and enlarged in 1936, the Price Mansion served as Provisional Capitol from 20-23 October 1944 upon the reconstitution of the Commonwealth of the Philippines for President Sergio Osmeña.
On October 20, 1944 the Japanese bomb penetrated the roof over General MacArthur’s room. The hole caused by the bombed was preserved and can still be seen today.

Roxas City is often referred to as the "Seafood Capital of the Philippines." The city's coastal location in Capiz province, known for its rich marine resources, contributes to its recognition as a seafood haven. The Roxas City Public Market, also known as the Palengke, is an excellent place to find a wide variety of fresh seafood. Local vendors offer a range of seafood products, from live seafood to freshly caught fish and shellfish.

There is no subway here, only very limited above-ground rail, and a bus network that mostly consists of uncomfortable Jeepney’s. So everyone who can afford to drives, creating the most gridlocked city in Asia, if not the world. Commute times can reach an unfathomable six hours roundtrip. That’s how long it takes Emico to navigate the multiple stages of her commute into her office in Metro Manila each morning and back home to Rizal each night, even though they are just 19 kilometers apart.
The situation - thankfully - is improving. Thousands of electrified Jeepnys have hit the road, and construction has begun on what locals call the “Project of the Century”--the Metro Manila Subway. When fully operational in 2028 it could serve more than 1.5 million trips a day.
But not all developers have abandoned Manila. The new Bonifacio Global City that has gone up over the last two decades provides a safe, clean bubble for foreigners and wealthy Filipinos. By looks and design, it seems to rival many of the world’s other new luxurious steel and glass cities. Of course, similar to Delhi’s Gurgaon, it is mostly walled off from the extreme poverty existing just meters away.

Our Plan for The Philippines -
Fist day in Philippines is obviously here in Manila, we spent the next few days in this city. Our manila first impressions video was the first of many coming to our channel from right here in the Philippines. We plan to travel around the country and see Philippines top attractions. After Manila we plan to visit some of the dream islands in Philippines. Palawan island is somewhere we are really excited to explore. Palawan is regarding as the best islands in the Philippines 2023 so we definitely we have to go. Is Boracay worth it? Boracay is another island we hope to visit. How long can you stay in the Philippines? We are not sure just yet, we have 30 days visa but we are already thinking of how to move to the Philippines lol. We also plan to visit Cebu best tourist attractions, and all the surrounding islands. Before coming here we wondered is Philippines expensive? We have not been here long enough to find out. We are also really excited to try Filipino food for the first time. If you have any recommendations of foods to try in the Philippines please let us know. We would love to a Filipino food tour. We have watched a lot of the 10 Best Places to Visit in the Philippines to get ideas but again, if you know any hidden places in the Philippines or underrated places leave them in the comments. We are looking for the Most unique HIDDEN PARADISE in the PHILIPPINES and we are so excited to find them. HOW TO TRAVEL THE PHILIPPINES? we are not sure but we cant wait to find out. But we hope you follow along and find out with us.
